This app, the Cyanogen Update Tracker, allows users to easily check if their Cyanogen OS device is running the latest available version of the operating system. It is important to note that this app will only work on supported devices. While CYANOGEN itself has shut down, this app still enables users to download the latest available software for their device. However, it is worth noting that the new Wileyfox OS and Lineage OS will not be supported.

In addition to checking the currently installed Cyanogen OS version, this app also allows users to update their device if they are running outdated versions. For example, it supports updates for OnePlus One with versions 12.0-YNG1TAS0YL, 12.1-YOG4PAS3B4, and 13.0-ZNH0EAS26M; ZUK Z1 with version 12.1-YOG4PAS7DF; and YU Yureka and YU Yuphoria with Android 4.4.4 KitKat factory image (requires a computer). It also supports Wileyfox devices with software versions older than 13.0.5 (Spark series) or 13.1.5 (Swift / Swift 2 series, Storm). However, please note that updates directly from Wileyfox are not offered in this app.

This app also provides a concise overview of a user's device specifications, including the current Android and Cyanogen OS version, amount of memory (RAM), security patch date, and processor.

During the initial launch of the app, users are prompted to select their device and choose their preferred update method. There are two options available:

• Full update: This is an update package that works regardless of the current OS version. However, it tends to be larger in size, so the download process might take some time.
• Incremental update: These are smaller update packages specific to the current system version of the device. It is recommended to choose this method due to smaller download sizes. Note that incremental updates do not work on rooted devices or devices running custom recovery (TWRP, etc.).

It is important to emphasize that this app does not auto-update devices. However, it does include an installation guide that provides step-by-step instructions on how to manually apply the downloaded updates. The installation process will not wipe the device, but it is recommended to read the guide thoroughly to avoid any mistakes.
